Forest Care Selection is working in partnership with an independent children’s provider, who offer specialist residential services to a range of children with emotional, behaviour difficulties. They’re looking to recruit a Children Home Manager for their brand-new service, based in the Thornton Heath, South London area.
The Children Home Manager based in Thornton Heath; South London will be responsible for leading the home through their Ofsted registration. They will be also responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent in line with company and Ofsted standards.
The Children Home Manager based in Thornton Heath, South London will be a confident leader and will lead from the front in building a competent, motivated staff team. The individual should be able to identify any areas of concern in relation to child protection and should be experienced in liaising with local authorities, schools and external health professionals.
The Children Home Manager based in Thornton Heath, South London will ensure that each child within their care, receives a personalised care plan in line with their education, social, emotional and cultural needs. They will also work with various professionals in ensuring that each child develops to their full potential. Furthermore, the Children Home Manager in Thornton Heath, South London will take the lead in recruitment, training and inducting new staff members.
Candidates wishing to apply for the Children Home Manager role in Thornton Heath, South London will need to have an NVQ Level 5 in children & young people, excellent knowledge of care standards, including child protection and demonstrable experience of managing a similar service, ideally supporting children with EBD. Experienced deputy managers looking to step up, will also be considered.
In return you will get the opportunity to join an independent care provider that can offer a base salary of 55K with an increase to 58K upon Ofsted registration.
