Forest Care Selection is working in partnership with a regional children’s provider, who offer specialist residential services to a range of children with emotional and behaviour difficulties. They’re looking to recruit a Deputy Manager (Children) for their established service based in Milton Keynes.
The Deputy Manager based in Milton Keynes will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, ensuring that the quality of care provided is consistent in line with company and Ofsted standards. The Deputy Manager in Milton Keynes will work closely with the registered manager and senior leadership team and will lead from the front in building a competent, motivated staff team.
The Deputy Manager will identify any areas of concern in relation to child protection and should be experienced in liaising with local authorities, schools and external health professionals.
The Deputy Manager in Milton Keynes will ensure that each child within their care, receives a personalised care plan in line with their education, social, emotional and cultural needs. They will also work with various care professionals in ensuring that each child develops to their full potential. Furthermore, the Deputy Manager in Milton Keynes will play an integral part of the recruitment, training and inducting of new staff members.
Candidates wishing to apply for the Deputy Manager role in Milton Keynes will need to have a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in children & young people or above, excellent knowledge of care standards, including child protection and demonstrable experience of leadership in a similar service supporting vulnerable children. Experienced senior support workers looking to step up, will also be considered.
